Lunar Thanksgiving Celebration at i:Remnant
Last week, we celebrated Korean Lunar Thanksgiving at i:Remnant School! Known as Chuseok in Korean, this is a major harvest festival celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month on the lunar calendar during the full moon.
We had so much fun making traditional Korean rice cakes (songpyeon) with our grandparents, wearing traditional Korean hanbok outfits. We also played traditional folk games and learned the ganggangsullae folk dance.
This was a really fun way to introduce Korean culture to our students and we hope our grandparents had a lot of fun participating in the event!
